sa or custom user cannot see a custom database

Hi,

I am trying to connect a SQL2012 database from another workstation using ODBC 32 bit. No matter I login as SA or a CUSTOM user, the "Change the default database to" list box only contains master, msdb, tempdb but cannot see a CUSTOM database..

Please help what is going wrong...
