As I recall from previous versions of SQL Server, TCP/IP is turned off by default and I had a lot of trouble with the user interface to get it turned on. What about named pipes?
Can someone show me how to write a script to enable TCP/IP access and Named Piped access so I can use a third party JDBC driver for my java programs?
Can it be done in vbscript or Powershell?
