Hi,
I have a database with a log file that grows very big very quickly. I'd like to create some sort of job or maintenance plan that shrinks it on a regular basis.
I believe I shouldn't just shrink the file as it could cause database fragmentation. From what I've read online the best option would be to backup transaction logs which in turn should clear space. Is this correct? If so how does this work and how do I set up the job/maintenance plan?
Cheers
Paul
