We are planning to have third party monitoring tools, considered below tools and views are as follows:
RedGate: User Friendly GUI but export monitoring results as reports is a limitation however overall monitoring is good.
SQLSentry: Simple but little bit confusing on having Event Manager, Performance Advisor, Analysis Performance Advisor, not so user friendly GUI but one good thing is it can export reports to excel or PDF.
SolarWinds: Requires lot of time to evaluate this tool as it is not so user convenient.
Idera: I don't have any experience on this tool.
All my analysis may or may not correct or accurate and may not apply to all and my motto in posting this query is have experts advise on which tool is advised for monitoring and performance optimization.
