Recommendation virtual configuration SQL Server 2012

Before starting, I know that without great information I will be told "without knowing your workload this will be very difficult to define".
I do not know the workload.

Here I am in search of "recommendations" and not matter if they are not correct, it can boost the performance later.

So here's my question:
What is the recommendation (RAM & Memory CPU (number of virtual sockets and number of cores per socket) for the installation of a Windows Server 2012 + SQL Server 2012 virtual machine (VMware)?
