Does Enterprise SQL 2012, 2014, 2016 require data center version of windows? i am assuming that the windows version is either windows 2012 R2 or windows 2016.
what is the major advantages of SQL 2012 versus SQL 2014 versus SQL 2016 in terms of Availability Groups? It is my understanding SQL 2012 has AG as a feature so what is being missed if we do not upgrade to SQL 2014 or SQL 2016?
Are both SQL 2014 and SQL 2016 have better performance and reliability than SQL 2012? We have never installed SQL 2012 with AG however we have installed both SQL 2014 and SQL 2016.
