Time out expired for quries

Hi all

  we have database for spooling report, we are getting time out expired for queries,database in one server and application deployed in IIS in another server,if i run the same query in database(ssms) it will finish in 2 min,but in application while spooling i am getting time out expired.

 is the problem with IIS server or Database ?

please guide me.
